Zest Cafe @ The Sphere, Bangsar South

Let's talk about FOOD today! I have never been to Bangsar South area and a visit to Zest Cafe certainly made it worth. All the foods we had enjoyed over the foodie chat were pretty amazing especially with the touch of homely taste.

A very cozy and relaxing ambiance that's perfect for a girly date, romantic date, family hangout or even for a casual business meeting! All you need to do is relax and sit back, order your foods and enjoy every little bit of it. Before I start with the foods, let me tell you that the foods served in Zest Cafe are all with low salt, low sugar, no MSG and lots of olive oil!

Mushroom Soup (RM6.50)
A classic soup of white button mushroom, full with flavors and bites. It's low in cream too. This bowl of Mushroom Soup that I've had in Zest Cafe definitely one of a kind, it's not the usual creamy type but liquidy. It may look bland but it wasn't at all. Of course, you can always add some black pepper into it!

Pumpkin Soup (RM6.50)
Oh-so-creamy!
A total opposite to Mushroom Soup, the Pumpkin Soup with much creamier texture surprised us with its homely taste! This bowl of oven-roasted pumpkin made into a hearty and silky soup certainly a must try during your first visit. Some of us thought it was way too creamier but it was just nice for my liking! We also got to know that some customers love to bring their babies to Zest Cafe and enjoy this deliciously healthy pumpkin soup.

Zest Salad (RM17.50)
Zest Salad, a colorful and healthy mixture of fresh salad with grilled zucchini, aubergine and pumpkin. Tossed in balsamic dressing and crowned with pan-grilled prawns! What I did was, eat all of them together and enjoyed the perfect flavor combination of it, healthy and yums! o (◡‿◡✿)

Cheesy Seafood Baked Rice (RM23.80)
For all the cheese baked rice lovers, here's something for you! The Cheesy Seafood Baked Rice is a huge plate of rice baked with prawns, squid, mussel and fish slices with mozzarella cheese. Oh boy, you'll surely love it with the generous amounts of toppings and cheese! Eat it when it was served hot or you're going to miss all the great taste.

Fish & Chips (RM31.80)
The Fish & Chips, is one of a kind, it's not the boring dory fish fillet but butterfish fillet used in this dish. The obvious difference would be in both taste and texture, thick and taste really delicious with the dipping tartar and tomato sauces. I really don't mind coming back for this!

Chicken Lasagna (RM20.50)
Layers of lasagna
Being a fan of lasagna, I won't miss out the chance to try this Chicken Lasagna. It's really a thick one, each layers filled with rich chicken meat sauce and mozzarella cheese in between, topped with generous amount of cheese too!

Rosemary Roast Chicken (RM21-Half | RM38-Whole)
Rosemary Roast Chicken turned out to be the crowd's favorite! No one can say no to this moist rosemary-infused roast chicken served with boiled potato and capsicum. The chicken meat was really tender with the homely taste, it feels like hearty homecooked food. The huge portion of this dish is perfect for sharing unless you can finish it by your own.  (´∇ノ`*)ノ

Pan-Grilled Lamb Cutlet (RM39.80)
The Pan-Grilled Lamb Cutlet served with yoghurt-mint sauce and hummus to satisfy the lamb lovers taste bud. It was my first time to enjoy my lamb in such different way, which was not bad.

Prawn Spaghetti Alla Pesto (RM19.50)
I am never a fan of pesto pasta but I loved the Prawn Spaghetti Alla Pesto in Zest Cafe! The spaghetti in homemade pesto sauce topped with pan-grilled juicy prawn turned out to be another most favorite dish for us!

It was indeed a wonderful lunch meal over foodie chat. Good foods, good company, nothing else that we could ask for.  (“⌒∇⌒”)
