The Ocean Residence | Langkawi

Yours truly
I have never been to Langkawi and it was my first time to finally visit Langkawi on the last Saturday. It was just a 2D1N trip with 4 other bloggers of The Butterfly Project to visit the R&D site of an herbal skincare brand - Paul Penders. I will be sharing more on this in detail in a separate post. Let's talk about our crib for the night - The Ocean Residence

Container House
I remember Anne told us that we're going to stay in a container before our departure to Langkawi, most of us had no idea where we are going to stay as it's never stated the exact name of accommodation in our itinerary earlier on. Upon arriving The Ocean Residence and when I looked at this red "container-material" building, I'm not sure what to expect but hoping for the best. I can really be this silly, sometime. Heh~ (#⌒∇⌒#)ã‚ž

Comfy queen size bed
After the check-in procedure, we were given the key to each of our rooms. There's 4 different types of room in the container house - HideOut, Getaway, Lookout, Ocean View A/B/C/D - and I was given the key for Ocean View A. The air-conditioned room was really spacious furnished with a queen-size bed, couch, cupboard, mini bar, cable TV, and other basic amenities that needed by the guest.

TV and the cabinet
Each cable TV in the rooms equipped with astro channels for the guest to enjoy more variation of programs.

Mini bar
Mini bar section where the guest can enjoy their cuppa of tea or coffee, or even chilled drink inside the fridge.

Toilet
Shower
It has a simple bathroom, where you can take your hot shower and oh! I love that mid-length mirror!  (●♡∀♡)

There's two doors in my room - one facing the gorgeous ocean; one facing the mangrove trees side. I didn't bother much on the other side that facing the mangrove trees. Most importantly, I could enjoy the scenic ocean view when am on my comfy bed! Woke up in the morning to such a view, blissful life indeed. (ʃƪ˘ï»¬˘)

Trust me, it feels like home at here. Okay, maybe not really because there's no ocean view right outside my door back at home.

Ocean View
THIS IS THE VIEW that I've been talking about! Of course, you can always walk over there, but I decided not to go under the scorching hot sun as I've been trying hard to get rid of my tan skin after a week in Phuket few weeks ago. Evening walk is definitely lovely.

Infinity pool
Infinity Pool
What else to brag about The Ocean Residence? The large salt water infinity pool, very impressive! I always prefer salt water swimming pool as it's better for our skin, just like how my gym has. I dipped in my leg and the water is warm! Major love for sure! Oh, there's another two swimming pools - a natural tidal pool of 60x20meter (filled with seawater twice a day!) & a lap swimming pool of Olympic length for 55meter straight swim excitement (right outside your apartment!). Ù©(^á´—^)Û¶

Infinity pool at night
We decided to enjoy an evening swim around 10.30pm and the water surprisingly still warm! Silly girl like me thought that the water was warm during the day due to the hot sun, but it proved me wrong. I didn't bring my goggles and I couldn't swim under the water for long and that frustrated me. Though, it was really a fun girly time for the 5 of us hanging out at that time.

Ocean View
It was failed attempts for both sunset and sunrise shots. I've missed the sunset timing before we went out for dinner and I woke up at 8am the next morning. Boohoo~! (∩︵∩)

Caroline & Minnie
Overall, it was such a pleasant stay at The Ocean Residence! I don't mind going there again, and I will make sure I stay longer for my next visit. The hospitality provided was really great and the receptionist has been being lovely and helpful to our needs.
