Happy Birthday Boyfie! | Angus House, Publika

Caroline & Eric
11th Jan, the day when le boyfie get to be a KING for a day. Yesterday, it was his birthday and here's the difference of my birthday and his birthday. He gets to surprised me with dinner place that he is going to bring me, but I can never have the chance to surprise him! WHY? Because he still needs to be the one who drives and I need to tell him the exact place in order for us to enjoy his birthday dinner.

Eric loves steak. What I did was, give him 3 choices of steakhouse restaurants for him to choose for and he actually wanted to try the steak at Angus House - Japanese Charcoal Steak in Publika. I then made a reservation for two for the night and of course, he will be the one who going to get us there in time.

With a dim light setting and candle lit on each table, it created a very cozy and romantic ambiance. Love it!

This bun may look like a very ordinary one but it tasted really good! It was served warm and I didn't even bother to put butter spread on it, it's really yum.

I could not recall the name of this appetizer, but I know it has mashed potato (perhaps grilled chicken?) with a special unique flavor. We loved it very much!

Pumpkin soup, a very rich in flavor and creamy texture. Eric enjoyed the whole bowl and wish for more.

Tantalizing salad with fresh ingredients and amazing dressing! I don't mind having more of this salad as they really tasted great.

For the main course, Eric enjoyed himself with the charcoal steak grill - Sirloin Steak. It was prepared in medium-rare as he requested.

Pink on the inside and no one can resist from juicy tender meat! I was quite surprised that I actually quite like it. Birthday boy certainly enjoyed his steak to the max!

I opted for the charcoal seafood grill - Mixed Seafood Grilled for my main course. It's a plateful of grilled king prawns, scallops and cuttlefish that have been grilled to the perfection. The sweet and succulent king prawns; sweet, flaky scallops and a tad chewy cuttlefish; all tasted really great!

We completed our meal with dessert - Tiramisu Cakes! They were soft and fluffy, not too sweet nor bitter for the tiramisu, it was just nice and simply satisfying.
