Fresca Mexican Kitchen & Bar @ The Gardens Mall, Mid Valley City.

Hola! Como Estas? - That's how we say Hello! How are you? - in Spanish. While some of you thought Mexican is a language, it is not but an ethnicity. Mexican speaks the Spanish language. An authentic Mexican cuisine originates in Mexico itself, do not get confused with Tex-Mex cuisine as both are different types of cuisines. The varied flavors, colorful decoration and variety of spices and ingredients used in the dishes are the specialties of it. Just so you know that Mexican cuisine was added by UNESCO to its lists of the world's "intangible cultural heritage".

If you're not up for any alcohol, this mango agna fresca with lime and honey, would be great for you to have while enjoying your meals.
Tortilla Chips with Guacamole ( RM 20 )

Tortilla Chips with Guacamole, just so you know that the corn tortillas chips are made homemade and guacamole are prepared daily that guaranteed you the best and fresh one. Guacamole is an avocado-based sauce that originated with the Aztecs in Mexico. It is traditionally made by mashing ripe avocado and mix with other ingredients. It was my first time to try on it, totally love how the tortilla chips tasted like after dip with lots and lots of guacamole.
Nachos Grande ( RM 27 )
Next comes to our table was the Nachos Grande, look alike to previous one heh? The difference here was the tortilla chips topped with refried bean, jack cheese, ground beef, jalapeno, guacamole and sour cream. This is totally great, love how cheesy it is with a hint of spiciness from the jalapeno, very appetizing!

Jalapeno Poppers ( RM 16 ).
Cheesy in the inside!
The Jalapeno Poppers is certainly a must-try dish at Fresca! It made of spicy breadcrumb-coated Jalapeno Chiles stuffed with Monterey Jack Cheese and minced beef served with sweet mango chipotle salsa. Do not judge by it looked, it is really hot and spicy with the jalapeno inside it. I have never thought I will fell in love with this, it is spicy, supposedly not my type, though I enjoyed it especially after dipped it with the mango salsa sauce, even though I have to keep drinking water at that time.

Tacos Ensenada ( RM 19 )
The Tacos Ensenada came next to us, it was a plateful of flour tortillas with beer battered fish and homemade coleslaw. This classic fish taco originates from Ensenada, Baja California which explained the name of it.

Camarones al Ajillo ( RM 24 )
Tiger Prawns
A highly recommended dish for us to savor was the Camarones al Ajillo ! The tiger prawns sauteed with fragrant Guajillo Chiles and garlic, totally fantastic! The art of eating it was placing the tiger prawns on the flour tortillas and rolled it up. A bite of it allowed you to enjoyed the flavorful and succulent tiger prawns, delicious!

Sopa de Fideo ( RM 15 )
Angel hair noodle in the soup

Sopa de Fideo is a simple chicken soup with angelhair noodles definitely appetizing and best choice of comfort food for kids and adults like. It was so flavorful and with a lil bit of lime, the sourish taste just tantalize your taste buds.

Costilla Asada ( RM 43 )
A good choice for the mains, the Costilla Asada with the succulent shortribs in a homemade sauce, slow-braised for more than 3 hours for an off-the-bone tenderness. It also served with a bed with creamy mash potatoes and sauteed vegetables. Each of every bites of tender meat with this huge portion certainly won't leave you hungry tummy at the end of the meal.

Pescado Mojo de Ajo ( RM 42 )
Another dish that would be perfect for the mains would be the Pescado Mojo de Ajo. The Mexican white rice and mixed salad served with a sizable fish that is lightly panfried in a fragrant butter sauce, topped with chunky pieces of roasted garlic. I personally love how moist is the fish and how the sauce complimented this dish well.
Fajitas Mixed ( RM 41 )
Placing the chicken topped with guacamole sauce on flour tortilla
I bet most of you familiar with the Fajitas Mixed for it is popular among Tex-Mex cuisine. The sizzling plate of chicken and beef tenderloin, bell peppers, onions served with choices of guacamole, pico de gallo and chiptole cream sauce. It is similar as the Camarones al Ajillo, placing everything on the flour tortilla and wrap it.
Carne Asada a la Tampiquena ( RM 54 )

A dish with unique name, Carne Asada a la Tampiqunea is made of grilled to perfection tenderloin the Mexican way, with onions, Mexican red rice, enchiladas verdes and refried beans. A very satisfying choice of meal I would say.

Apple Enchiladas
Mini Churros

Desserts to complete our wonderful dinner on that night were worth to shout about. The Apple Enchiladas, baked flour tortillas filled with apples, served with homemade nougat ice cream is so sinfully delicious! On the other side, the Mini Churros seems so simple one with Mexican donuts rolled in sugar and cinnamon, dip it with the chocolate sauce, your mind would just blown away with how it tasted!
