10 Reasons To Stay At Resorts World Langkawi

Langkawi is a place that my friends and I would go every year, for the beach and mainly alcohol for fellow #AlcoholicsUnited members (yes, we have such group). Plus, the flight ticket to Langkawi is cheap too! My last year trip to Langkawi with bunch of them was really fun, I bet you still can find our silly posts on Instagram/Facebook with the hashtag #beachbeerbabesdudes that was created by the president of #AlcoholicsUnited - Anna! :p

Back then, we didn't really think of staying at any fancy hotel, as long as it has direct access to the beach and the pool for our floaties, it was all about each other crazy company. We also did the silly Chubby Bunny Challenge during our trip too!

This year, I am back to Langkawi without my usual bunch of friends but the media friends.

Resorts World Langkawi, such fancy hotel, with no direct access to the most happening Cenang beach in Langkawi though. What makes it different then? Let me tell you 10 reasons you should totally consider to make Resorts World Langkawi as your crib for your trip!

The newly renovated rooms feature upgraded facilities and new furnishings. You may choose to stay in the Garden View Room (facing the lush greenery surrounding the resort), Seaview Room/Deluxe Seaview Room/Premier Seaview Room (facing the sea, perfect for sunrise and sunset view). Also, not to forget the two brand new Signature Suites as well as the huge and spacious Presidential Suite.

I stayed in the Seaview Room, it features a modern, minimalistic and cosy interior, just the way I like it. It also equipped with TV, safe, coffee making facilities, minibar, fridge, shower with toiletries, desk with chairs, etc. Just one thing, it kinda freakish to me to have two double beds just for myself in a room.

If you ask me, I always prefer any room with sea view over the garden view! :p

For those who opt to stay at the Presidential Suite, you are lucky as you'll have direct access to the lighthouse! The Presidential Suite is really massive! It has a few different themed rooms, equipped with entire kitchen and spacious living room, gym, etc.

Can you imagine the horror of having more than two devices and you need to charge them at the same time without the need of waking up late night to switch the devices? That's not the end of the world, my case was I forgot to bring my charger and only brought along the cables. Now can you imagine how I felt when I saw FOUR USB CHARGING POINTS in the room?! Big phew~!

With that being said, I can charge two of my phones, my powerbank, and camera at the same time before I go to sleep every night.

Don't want to miss out the happening nightlife area in Langkawi? Fret not, you can always take the complimentary shuttle bus from the hotel to Cenang beach area. If you missed the shuttle bus schedule, taking a taxi won't cost you much too, I remember it's around RM12 per trip?

When was the last time you get to enjoy such moments? Back in KL, my friends and I had to wake up super early to climb the hill in order to enjoy the sunrise. At here, you can watch sunrise/sunset right from your room, provided that you're staying in Seaview Room.

Trust me, I would totally get myself at least the Deluxe Seaview Room with the balcony for my next stay at this hotel. The experience watching sunrise/sunset from a room without balcony wasn't as nice as those with balcony for sure! Just imagine yourself enjoying your cuppa coffee/tea early in the morning whilst enjoying the sunrise, such blissful moment!

Back in KK, I can always have the option to dine in a restaurant in the city or by the beach/sea easily. In KL, there's no such thing dining by the beach/sea. I was super excited when we were informed that we are going to dine at Zest on the Broadwalk! It has a simple yet lovely table set up, with a candle lit on each table, super romantic I must say! The BBQ dinner on that night was so good, especially the satay!

Good food, good company, live band, it's perfect!

Psst, it's open for public too!

If you know me well enough, as much as I wanted to be on a yacht or cruise, I have a terrible motion sickness. I didn't get to enjoy the whale-watching during my Syndey trip due to terrible seasick and ended up myself sitting next to the captain and throwing up like nobody business; I didn't get to enjoy both day and night view during yachting session in Jeju and Busan ended up with myself staying in the cabin with a huge teddy plushie; etc.

Thankfully, I was feeling much better after ate the medicine and the sea wasn't choppy too! And this sunset cruise was totally worth it! You'll get to enjoy BBQ dinner and the mesmerizing sunset right from the best spot. Of course, I will be writing more about this in my next post!

Bubbles Brunch

Well, this may not something for everyone, but hello, who can say no to bubbles brunch?!
It wasn't in our itinerary and drinking with empty stomach wasn't a good idea either, but having Mr. Yap himself to serve us, thank you for the wonderful bubbles session! Though it wasn't a bubbles brunch for us, we totally enjoyed 1-2 glasses of these bubbly drink before catching our flight in the afternoon. Something silly may happened, but whatever happened in Langkawi stays in Langkawi! :p
