Outback Steakhouse | Nu Sentral Mall


Hey! Have you heard the exciting news yet? Yes, the largest American steakhouse chain in the world - Outback Steakhouse - has unveiled its second outlet for Malaysia at the newly-launched integrated lifestyle and transit mall hub, Nu Sentral! I didn't get to try the one in Australia when I was in Sydney last year, and pretty excited when I get invited to try out some of their signature dish on Tuesday night!


Outback Steakhouse has an extensive menu on beverages! We ordered some of the recommended drinks which are the Mango Mojito, Minted Lemonade Chill and Mango Chillers. Oh-so-refreshing!
  • Mango Mojito (RM11.95) - Mango, limes and fresh mint gently muddled together and topped with Sprite to create this Caribbean-inspired drink.
  • Minted Lemonade Chill (RM9.95) - A frosy blend of fresh mint and house-made lemonade.
  • Mango Chillers (RM9.95) - A frosty delight from the Caribbean comes to life in the Outback. Fresh citrus juice blended perfectly!


For appetizer, we were served with the huge portion of tortilla chips accompanied by Spinach Artichoke Dip (a creamy blend of spinach, artichokes, Monterey Jack and Parmesan cheeses,baked until bubbly). -RM27.95


Second appetizer was this serving of Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie -RM24.95! The fresh and succulent shrimps sprinkled with seasonings and delicately grilled, served with homemade remoulade sauce. Love this!


Our most favorite of them all, Crispy Fried Mushroom -RM24.95! The medium size fresh buttomnmushrooms are lightly breaded then deep fried till it is crisp on the outside, yet perfectly juicy inside. It also comes with spicy ranch dressing, so yummy!


Chicken wings lover (or if you are more of a drummette lovers), please get yourself this Kookaburra Wings -RM15.95! The chicken wings tossed in a bold, savory blend of secret spices and paired with creamy Blue Cheese dressing and celery. It's crispy and flavorful, you can even choose from mild, medium or hot! 


Moving to the mains, we were served with the Grilled Salmon -RM39.95, that is perfectly seasoned and grilled. It also comes with healthy seasonal veggies and a bed of rice pilaf. Trust me, the salmon is delicious and juicy in the inside too!


Next served on the table was quite a unique dish, Alice Springs Chicken -RM35.95. It also has a unique combination too, flamed-grilled chicken breast topped with sautéed mushrooms, crispy beef bacon, melted Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese and finished with honey mustard sauce. See, you still can have delicious chicken breast on your cheat day too!


Yay for lamb lovers! You can certainly welcome to enjoy this rack of Lamb Chops -RM49.95! The lamb chops served with homemade sauce and your choice of two freshly made sides! 


Well, if you can't decide whether to order the steak or seafood, fret not, you can always opt for the Steak and Seafood Mixed Grill -RM59.95! You'll be happy to see the 6 oz. signature sirloin paired and seared shrimp and scallops on a bed of fresh diced mango salsa. Again, it will be served with your choice of one freshly made side. I can't help but get another bowl of fresh mango salsa for myself! It was such a tantalizing dip and perfect to eat together with the fresh seafood! 


Here's something for the fellow steak lovers out there - Ribeye (8 oz. -RM56.95 | 10 oz. -RM66.95)! Seasoned and seared with the secret 17 seasoning blend or chargrilled over an open flame. It is well-marbled, juicy and pure perfection! The one we've had here was cooked medium-rare, just as how we always love it!


Eric ordered the T-Bone -RM74.95 that were cooked in medium-rare too! Perfect seasoning and comes with two freshly made sides. 


To complete our dinner, we were served with the Chocolate Thunder from Down Under -RM19.95 and Cinnamon Oblivion -RM17.95. Both desserts come in such huge portion that perfect to be shared for 2 pax! 
  • Chocolate Thunder from Down Under - An extra generous pecan brownie is topped with rich vanilla ice cream, drizzle with warm chocolate sauce and finished with chocolate shavings and whipped cream.
  • Cinnamon Oblivion - Vanilla ice cream topped with fresh, warm cinnamon apples, cinnamon croutons, pecans, caramel sauce and whipped cream. 

NOTE: In conjunction with the second store opening at Nu Sentral Mall, Outback Steakhouse is offering a FREE steak till end of January 2015 with a spend of every RM100 and a special lunch menu which starts from RM17.90.
