My Khe Beach & Pham Van Dong Public Beach | Da Nang, Vietnam

I've been always longing for a beach holiday and the recent fam trip to Da Nang with AirAsia made my dream come true! Throughout the entire trip, we managed to visit two beaches - My Khe Beach and Pham Van Dong Public Beachヾ(。◕ฺ∀◕ฺ)ノ

It was our second day in Da Nang and we were all excited for our half day trip to the beach and starts imagining how much we're going to enjoy the water activities! My Khe Beach, located about 6km east of Da Nang, is a nine-kilometer stretch of smooth sand with an average width between 50m and 70m. Apparently, My Khe Beach is the most crowded of Da Nang beaches and also popular with the local people.

It seemed that luck wasn't on our side as the weather started getting gloomy the moment we arrived and pretty windy too. We couldn't proceed with whatever water activities that had been planned for that day too. Though, you could see each of us were hoping for the sun to come out so that we could have enjoyed the kayaking at least. ( ᵒ̴̶̷᷄ д ᵒ̴̶̷᷅ )

Despite of the gloomy weather, we're still enjoying ourselves at the beach. Just chilling by the beach listening to the sound of waves, or enjoy the short walk on the smooth sand, or do something even perfect - SNAP TONS OF PICTURESヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ

Jump shots at the beach is fun, try it out. The only thing that you need to make sure - everyone  is jumping at the right timing. When it started to rain, we had no choice but go back to the hotel and enjoy the rooftop swimming pool instead, which turned out wasn't that bad after all.

On the next morning, the four of us (Me, Anna, Calista and Joel) decided to wake up early and head to the place where the international marathon was held to have some proper beach fun time. Well, beach without sun wasn't that right. There's a public beach right opposite Ala Carte Hotel namely Pham Van Dong Public Beach.

We spotted a round boat at the beach! We were told by our tour guide that the round boat symbolizes the round fishing boat (made of bamboo) where the local people fishing with.

The entire beach packed with many local people and tourists! We were guessing that it could be because of it was on the weekend and international marathon was held around that area too. Trust me, taking pictures with no one photo bombing our pictures was quite a challenge on that day too!

We were only given around 1-2 hours to hang out at the beach before finally heading back to our hotel and ready to check out from the hotel before we're heading to the Ba Na Hills. If you're planning to have awesome beach holiday time in Da Nang, do make sure to check out the weather forecast before deciding on your traveling date! (。´∀`)ノ
