The Steakhouse KL @ Changkat Bukit Bintang

I don't fancy steak, am more towards a lamb lover compare to beef. The Steakhouse KL located Changkat Bukit Bintang, so far away from Subang Jaya and packed schedules somehow makes me feels so reluctant to go for it. What makes me to try out The Steakhouse KL would be due to numerous of good review and people have been mentioning about their awesome steak! Contrarily to me, Eric quite enjoy beef steak and really would love to try it out.

The Steakhouse is a 40-seater steak joint along Changkat Bukit Bintang and adjacent to The Whisky Bar. With a fine dining concept yet more relaxed and cozy ambiance, it's perfect for a date or even chilling session with le buddies on the weekend.

- DRINKS -

Old Fashioned : bourbon, orange, sugar and soda

Whisky Sour - RM28
Whisky Sour: bourbon, lemon, egg white and sugar

Since it was our first visit, we do no know what to order and just let them to recommend what could be great for us. Both Nicole and I were served with this Old Fashioned and Whiskey Sour and it may be our first time to taste whisky too, the taste was quite strong for us to handle, especially the Whisky Sour. We need several warm-up session and slowly admire the wonderful taste of it. Old Fashioned was good and if you love sourish drink, you know Whisky Sour just great for you.

White Wine Pear Sangria - RM28
White Wine Pear Sangria: Spanish white wine, gin, pear, soda, lemon and diced fruits.

Fruity Red Sangria - RM28
Fruity Red Sangria: Spanish red wine, triple sec, rum, orange juice, soda and diced fruits.

On the other side, the guys get to try on sangria drinks. If comparing is needed, all of us voted for Fruity Red Sangria over the White Wine Pear Sangria. It tasted so good and smooth down to the throat. Perhaps, we're just bunch of wine lovers or the drink just being awesome.

- STARTERS & SALAD -
Air Dried Spanish Beef Ham
Our dinner begins with the Air Dried Spanish Beef Ham served with rock melon, cherry tomatoes and some green. There's a reason why it was served together with the rock melon and cherry tomatoes, you are supposed to eat with it together. We tried to eat the beef ham alone and ended up disliked the saltiness of it, pairing with the rock melon or cherry tomato just made it perfect.

Baked Portobello Mushroom
One of the crowd's favourite, Baked Portobello Mushroom which served together with spinach and seafood. The huge portobello mushroom was so delicious that we almost ask for more!

- ALL TIME FAVOURITE -
Beef Stroganoff - RM48
The Beef Stroganoff which is the beef stripes in mushroom sauce and rösti potato surprisingly taste great too! We truly every bit of the cooked coarsely grated potatoes accompanied with beef stripes in mushroom sauce. Yums!

Grilled Black Cod Fish - RM58
Another most favourite dish for the night would be this Grilled Black Cod Fish. I admit that before I even heading to here, I know this is a must order for someone don't fancy beef like me. The black cod fish was perfectly grilled and served together with parsley, potato, mushroom and creamy wasabi pesto sauce. Give it a try and you'll agree on me with it, it was really fresh, flaky and tender.

Seafood Aglio Olio - RM39
Everyone loves pasta and we ordered this upon seeing it in the menu - Seafood Aglio Olio. The spaghetti with fresh prawns, shrimps, fish, squid and scallop tossed with garlic oil, fresh basil and chilli. We love how al dente it was but it tasted a lil salty. Despite of the saltiness, it was all good.

- AUSTRALIAN BEEF -
Sauces
The beef is imported from Australia and you can choose between the aged Black Angus and grain fed, then choose from five cuts - medallion, tenderloin, rib-eye, T-bone and striploin. You may then proceed with choosing your desired sauce from béarnaise, black pepper, red wine, BBQ and mushroom sauce. You also get to choose style of potatoes (fried, mashed, sautéed) and vegetables (grilled asparagus, sweet corn, sautéed spinach etc).

*All cuts are grilled over charcoal, a style popularised by the Argentinians.

Chilled & Aged Black Angus - Tenderloin(200gm) - RM98
Medium Rare
The main highlight of the night, we have ordered as what have been highly recommended - Chilled & Aged Black Angus. We opted for tenderloin and done in medium rare. It was pinkish red in the inside and I have never expect it's going to be that tender and tasted so great judging by it look. It was really soft and tender and all of us totally impressed with it! Dip it with the sauces, it certainly best with the red wine sauce!

Chilled Australian Grain Fed - Striploin (300gm) - RM68
Medium Rare
Next was different type and cut, Chilled Australian Grain Fed and striploin part, done it same medium rare. It tasted really good too! However, it was a tad tough and we kind of tired of chewing it in our mouth. *lol* It is depending on which type and part that you preferred in order to make the perfect choice!

Mashed Potato

- A SWEET END -
Belgium Chocolate Fondue - RM35
Moving towards to the dessert, we ordered this set of Belgium Chocolate Fondue which comes with diced strawberries, green apples, grapes, oranges, bananas and sponge finger biscuits. This would be sweet treats when you come with your girlfriends! You know dipping fruits into chocolate while enjoying your girly gossips talks! :p

Werner's Special - RM22.50
Werner's Special, the name derived by the name of the owner himself for his wonderful fruity and refreshing dessert creation. With fresh strawberry in mango sauce with chocolate mousse and wild raspberry sorbet, simply irresistible!

Andrea's Special - RM22.50
Andrea's Special, a wonderful creation by Andrea himself to give you a dream in chocolate world! With white chocolate ice cream, milky chocolate mousse, chocolate crumble, banana in passion fruit and pear in red wine. It was so chocolatey, oh-so-amazing!

Classic Tiramisu - RM22.50
Classic Tiramisu with a touch of mango, it was soft and you're so gonna love how it melts in your mouth sensation. Too bad, I wasn't a fan of tiramisu. Eric seems to enjoyed this a lot.

Homemade Ice Cream - RM12 per scoop
If you just want something that is simple and do not want any mixture of anything, you can always treat yourself with Homemade Ice Cream and Sherbet and choose from vanilla ice cream, chocolate ice cream, pistachio ice cream, white chocolate ice cream, raspberry sherbet and mango sherbet. Both Nicole and I finished up all Mango Sherbet, Vanilla Ice Cream and Pistachio Ice Cream by ourselves! It was so rich in taste and original. Try it and you'll know what I'm trying to say here.

We were all really enjoyed our dinner and satisfied with it. All the foods served going to worth every penny that you spend at here. I can foresee we will go back for the cod fish, steak and of course dessert! :p
