Over 80 Choices in Shabu Shabu Buffet @ Nagomi Japanese Restaurant

What actually Shabu Shabu means? I do know it's meant something like steamboat style where we going to cook all the dish in our pot. Little did I know that the name of Shabu Shabu is derived from the "swish swish" sound of cooking the meat in the pot. How interesting is that! I do believe we just gonna love shabu shabu especially during this cold rainy days!

I bet everyone is familiar with Nagomi Japanese Restaurant especially the one located at Jaya 33. Do you know that they opened another outlet at Menara Hap Seng? I was so glad given an opportunity to join other bloggers to dine in for their new promotion Shabu-Shabu Buffet. I actually do not know what to expect before I arrive and it seem there's something awaiting us.

Ambiance of Nagomi Japanese Restaurant
We were greeted and welcomed by Ms Debbie. She was such a lovely lady to know with, we were briefed with the on going promotion and what actually they will serve for the shabu shabu buffet. I personally love the warm and cozy ambiance in Nagomi Japanese Restaurant.

Buffet Spread
Unlike the ordinary shabu shabu restaurant, Nagomi includes the sushi, sashimi and tenpura in the shabu shabu menu. After all, it is a Japanese restaurant. Looking at what lies on the buffet spread, we know that our tummy going to be well stuffed for the night.

Fishballs, squids, mushrooms, crab sticks, dried tauhu skin, etc
Various of fresh clams, prawns, flower crabs, etc
Greens
Thin sliced meats - beef, chicken, lamb and duck
We get to eat whatever that lies on the buffet spread and I had to agree how fresh is the seafood are. The seafood that I had on that night was countless! Do you want to know how fresh is the seafood served? The prawns were all still alive and for goodness sake, I rather watch them swim than eating them up instead! Silly me!

Fresh Raw Seafood
The prawns still alive !
Huge in size prawn
Fresh Slices of Fish
After all, the freshness always what matter. Swishing everything inside the hot bubbling miso soup was fun too! Besides, there were also varies sauces prepared for us. You could just take them up to your liking. Am not sure which sauces you prefer, but I like the wafu dressing lots. Dipped the cooked seafood and sliced meats into the wafu sauce, it tasted great.

Various Sauces
Pickled Gingers, Sambals, Wasabi, etc
After had all sorta main course, I love to have the sushi-s and sashimi-s. Eating it with wasabi is always great I believe! Don't ask me as I couldn't remember how many servings I had on that night.

As for desserts, there were some fresh fruits and some sort of kuih-s that we can have. Love to have it, but I guess it will be good if there's ice cream in the list too!

Kuih
Basically, we just kept eating and chit chat and eating again for the night. For just RM32.80++ and you could have over 80 choices in your shabu shabu, that's really worth your money. I guess it's gonna be a family fun time to enjoy swishing and eating at here.
