Soft Launch of Din Tai Fung @ e@Curve, Mutiara Damansara

It's the 7th day of Chinese New Year and here am I to wish everyone Happy Birthday! I believe some of you have resume work on the 4th of CNY and some still enjoying their last day of holiday and sad to resume work tomorrow. As much as I wish to extend my days at KK, I do love seeing everyone back at KL here. Back to the early of the month, I was so happy get invited by Ken to go for the soft launch of Din Tai Fung at E@Curve.

With open kitchen concept and simple yet classy decor, serve the world famous xiao long bao that would guarantee individual satisfaction! Being xiao long bao (steamed dumpling), yours truly definitely one of the most happy girls at that day! On that day itself, we get to try and enjoyed each of dishes in the menu that left me well stuffed with the good foods!

Mango Shrimp Roll ( RM 8 )

We started our dinner with various appetizers - House Special Appetizer, Stewed Beancurd with Honey sauce, Spicy Jelly Fish and Mango Shrimp Roll. Each of it has its special and unique flavor that definitely tantalize our taste buds. I found there's special unique taste of the stewed beancurd with a hint of mild sweetness that comes from the honey sauce. On the other hand, the spicy jelly fish truly appetizing and I always love to have it to start my meal. The Mango Shrimp Roll is sweet to have for the fresh mango used in it, I do love the combination of crispy of the outside and soft inside of it!

Spicy Vegetable Pork Wanton ( RM 9 )

The both Spicy Vegetable Pork Wanton and Spicy Pork Wanton comes with almost similar taste with the different ingredient used. Initially, I was quite reluctant to give it a try seeing the name of its is spicy, though it did not hold me any longer to try it after hearing how nice it tasted. It was simply delicious pork meat wrapped finely by the thin wanton skin. Next served to our table was definitely star dish - Xiao Long Bao! It's a well known fact that each piece of Xiao Long Bao at Din Tai Fung is wrapped in fine yet firm transculent skin with each one has at least 18 exquisite folds. What's more? Each Xiao Long Bao is freshly made when you order, that's how great it is!

The original Xiao Long Bao most probably is my most favorite of all types of the steamed dumplings. I truly enjoyed the goodness of juicy flavorful soup within it and not to mentioned the tenderness of the pork meat, dipped it with the special sauce with the combination of vinegar, soy sauce and thinly sliced gingers is heaven! It is by far, the most delicious Xiao Long Bao of all that I have tried. Just so you know that, Xiao Long literally means small steaming basket, Bao will be either bun or baozi.

The Xiao Long Bao with Crab tasted equally great as well! I have never thought the combination of crab and pork would be such perfect in taste! Am totally impressed and could not help myself for taking another and another servings of it.

Truffle Xiao Long Bao ( RM 36 )

Truffle Xiao Long Bao served with combination of ground pork, pork soup and French black truffle definitely a must to savor of. It's hard to deny how fragrant it is and always love the tenderness of the pork which tasted exceptionally great than I expected.

Shrimp and Pork Shao-mai ( RM 13.80 )

I found the Shrimp and Pork Shao-mai quite filling even though I wish to have more of it! Perhaps it does really served in such huge serving instead of those small yet expensive typical dim sum that we can get anywhere.

Am not really a fan of the greens or should I say everything that is related to vegetable? Though I have to say the Vegetarian Dumpling tasted quite good and it also rich in flavor which is pleasant to have for. While the Shrimp and Pork Dumpling is something that I don't mind to have over and over again.

Apart from all the dumplings, all of us were served with Deep Fried Shrimp Pork Wanton and Taiwanese Spring Roll. It's certainly good to get to try same ingredient with different types of cooking and preparation method.

There were also various vegetables that you can choose from and since not everyone on the table fancy it, we just ordered a few types of vegetable dish. It may not look attractive and cooked in such simply way, you would be surprise with the simply tasty fried vegetables. Again, am quite happy to see another favorite dish of mine on the table! The Golden Pumpkin with Salted Egg! To me, anything that is cooked with salted egg is yummy!

I have to admit I was quite surprise to see Pork Chop in the menu and wondered how it will be cooked. It was surprisingly tender and juicy as it supposed to be. The Shanghai Style Deep Fried Fish well fried and coated with tasty sauce that makes it taste better! Moving forward to the next dish was their famous La Mian!

I get myself one bowl of it and I never thought how big the serving portion could be that huge! In fact, I was having hard time to finish the whole bowl by myself. It was really filling and I have to say the springy noodles served in each bowl definitely worth to praise of. Each bowl of la mian comes with their unique taste and brings different aromatic flavor of its own.

For those who opt for fried rice seems had some hard time to finish up the plate of delicious fried rice of their own on that night. Those fried rice is really worth to try and it's not oily type and love how fragrant it was.

Towards the end of our meal, it was really nice to have a bowl of soup to clear the throat. Am not a beef person, hence opting for chicken soup is really great choice for me! I love how the clear soup full with purely chicken taste and the chicken meat can easily off from the bone, such tender and soft.

As for dessert, each of us get to try different type of desserts served at Din Tai Fung which simply delicate! I love how fluffy is the Mini Sesame Bun and Thousand Layer Cake can be and it was served piping hot. The Chilled Mango Pudding would be such perfect ending of the meal with it's sweet, juicy and rich in taste fresh mango slice, you may pour the light milk syrup if you opt for milky flavor. Dine at Din Tai Fung definitely a great experience of me and I would say this is really a place for me to get Xiao Long Bao fix anytime!

HAPPY PROSPEROUS DRAGON YEAR 2012 !

Let's welcome the year of Water Dragon!

Just so you know that I'm back at KK since the last Thursday! There's no way for me not to be back early to have hearty reunion dinner with the family members. Again, it's always good to be home for me - get to eat my favorite foods and well rested from the busy works.

Mom and Haylie the one welcomed me to back home since everyone still at school and work. I have spent the Friday out with mom and Haylie for last minute shopping. Lil sister Haylie so eager to get a haircut on that day too.

As much as I enjoying my stay here, I do wish everyone are the same too! I truly enjoy spending quality time and somehow it's good to stay offline once in a while! Am here wishing everyone of you a very happy and prosperous dragon year with lots of happiness and good health! For those who are not celebrating, do enjoy your long holidays break! Lastly, thank you so much for flooding me with Chinese New Year wishes in so many ways, I felt loved and blessed!

If you're wondering who am I referring to at here, he is none other than my boyfie - Eric. His birthday falls on the last Wednesday ( 11th Jan ) and it feels so great that we could celebrate it together! Just like Lionel's, Mei Yee's, Foong's and my birthday, we're all get surprised birthday celebration. Obviously, there's one for Eric too! I had to admit that it was really hard to plan a surprise birthday for him, not just because we're always together most of the time, but also because I'm shucks in acting? *LOL* When I was whatsapp-ing with the both Foong and Mei Yee, it was seriously scared me that what if he saw the messages? This time, I invited Benjamin to tag along in the plan too, so can you imagine how to keep the secret when you are busy whatsapp-ing with few people at time?

I was consider myself a bit safe as the actual meet-up actually planned by Eric himself and I just took advantage on the meet-up and planned with others for his birthday. Everything was quite last minute but I am truly satisfied as he himself did not realized at all and most importantly, he was HAPPY on that day! I even had to purposely had to drag the time to leave the home as Hungry Hog is quite near to our place and the person who bringing the cake not reaching there yet. Needless to say that, Eric even say me for being late.

Everyone act normal when we arrived and Benjamin came out of nowhere and told Eric that he was somewhere nearby and saw us from the outside and Eric actually asked him to join us. At that time, I am seriously worry if Benjamin going to tell him about the birthday and thank God that Ben is brilliant and covered everything well!

Prosperity Burger

We ordered the normal dish and 3 Little Pigs must be in the list! Not to mention the siew yok (roasted pork) and keropork as well. A special burger that both Lionel and I ordered was the Prosperity Burger. I have to say the generous amount of slices of juicy dried meat seriously added the awesome taste on the burger.

When the waitress brought the birthday cake to our table, we can see how clueless Eric was at that time! Yes, he has no idea at all and another successful birthday party! I would say the moment was so priceless and precious one when everyone is happy with broad smiles on their faces, such a blessings to have everyone around. Advanced celebration with the bunch of good friends and the actual celebration with ME on the day itself!

The CNY Premium Yee Sang @ Sushi Tei

It is less than two weeks time and we are approaching the Year of the Dragon! I myself could not wait till the next Thursday to be back hometown again as it is a must to be there for family reunion dinner. Other than Christmas, Chinese New Year is another festive that I always love for it's not the matter of getting angpow (red packet money) but also where all the relatives from all over will gather around as family to celebrate the festival! The more the merrier and that's what I love the most.

Sushi Tei ( Tropicana City Mall )

This year, I had a chance to lou sang with bunch of peeps at the Sushi Tei, Tropicana City Mall. We were there to sample their Premium Yee Sang - Yee Sang that comes with the normal condiments, fresh premium Salmon and Maguro as well as the fresh prawns cubes - look at how premium is that!

Put everything into it and you could see the considerably huge portion of yee sang and everyone just could not wait to toss it up high high! During the olden days, old folks used to toss it while saying some good and prosperous words for their believe that it going to bring some good luck for the year. So, how about you?

Fruit Punch Smoothies ( RM 5.80 ) / Bloody Sprite ( RM 5.80 ) / Sunrise ( RM 5.80 ) / Frozen Macha ( RM 5.80 )

Not just the Premium Yee Sang, but we also get to sample their Signature drinks - Fruit Punch Smoothies, Bloody Sprite, Sunrise and Frozen Macha - which were pretty refreshing with their own unique taste. Of course, the ala carte menu is available during the Chinese New Year too which gives the varieties in menu for the guest.

Sakura Ebi Fuwa Fuwa ( RM 13.80 )

Sakura Ebi Fuwa Fuwa - deep fried breaded tofu ball with prawn. They comes in sizable round ball shape deep fried in golden brown color gives the perfect crunchiness of the outside and soft inside, not to mention that the taste of sakura ebi (prawn) was great too! Dip it into the special sauce and you're going to love it.

Tara Shirako Karaage ( RM 49.80 )

It is highly recommended to order the Tara Shirako Karaage ( Tara: Cod, Shirako: Milt ) for it is one of the seasonal dish. Just so you know that the Tara codfish is only available during the winter and no doubt that the taste is great too!

Mame Aji Karaage ( RM 15.80 )

While waiting for other foods to be served, we were all enjoy snacking on the Mame Aji Karaage. It is the deep fried baby mackerel fish which is simply delicious to munch for.

Dosanko Sushi Moriawase ( RM 46.80 )

I am sushi lover, big fan of sushi! When the Dosanko Sushi Moriawase presented on our table, my-oh-my! I wished I could have it ALL by myself! All of it served in sizable sushis which definitely satisfy your craving for it.

Kaisen Shabu Shabu Collagen Nabe Sukiyaki ( RM 36.80 )

For the night, Ken ordered the Kaisen Shabu Shabu Collagen Nabe Sukiyaki to be shared with everyone! Sukiyaki, Japanese hot pot dish also known as winter dish at Japan just like what we have steamboat at here. As for this one, it comes in generous amount of ingredients - vegetables, various types of mushrooms, tofu, fresh salmon, prawn, scallop, squid and collagen. We're definitely not only enjoy the fresh ingredients but also enjoy slurping the flavorful soup too!

The Salmon Mentaiko is most probably one of my most favorite sushi of the night! It is the grill salmon sushi with cheese which not just unique but also wonderful taste especially when it melt in your mouth.

Deep Fried Chicken Skin

I normally would order the deep fried salmon skin whenever I dine in any Japanese restaurant and for that day, Ken and Eric nonstop praising and mentioned that it is a must to order the Deep Fried Chicken Skin if you were to dine in Sushi Tei. I have to say that I love how crispy and crunchy it is and seriously, I don't mind snacking on it anytime.

Haru Cheese Roll ( RM 13.80 )

Next come was the Haru Cheese Roll, the deep fried soft shell crab roll with cheese! It tasted equally good as it name but a tad oily to me.

Tropical Dragon Roll ( RM 20.80 )

Something new that I had on that day was the Tropical Dragon Roll. A combination of avocado with sushi is already a weird combination to me and this comes with combination of banana and sushi! It is certainly looks odd to me and everyone of us complimenting it after had one of its. It was only a very thin layer of banana yet it brings a strong flavor of banana which I thought it was pretty good combination with the sushi itself.

Fried rice lover, you may order the Fried Garlic Rice which I find it not oily and tasty. It may look plain but it does tasted so good.

Chawan Mushi

The Chawan Mushi at Sushi Tei unique in a way that it's not just a plain chawan mushi but topped with generous amount of Salmon roes! I am totally enjoy the feeling of eating it added up with popping-in-the-mouth feeling.

To complete our fulfilling dinner, each of us had ice cream for ourselves which definitely a perfect ending of the meal. I had mango flavor ice cream which everyone agreed that it taste much nicer than the tasteless or perhaps weirdo taste of the durian ice cream.

The Chinese New Year is just around the corner and if you're still have no idea where to have a gathering with friends and family to toss yee sang, why not give a try to Sushi Tei for it comes with affordable price and premium yee sang too. It's definitely worth every penny you're going to spend!

Sweet Gathering With Jolyn!

It's not that I am neglecting my blog because am busy but it is due to am down with flu, fever, coughing and yes still a lil unwell now. Somehow, it's totally bringing myself down as I was sick during the Christmas and New Year, to be sick during the Chinese New Year definitely the last thing I wish for. Though am still with a lil bit coughing, there's no way to miss out the gathering with Jolyn!

I've get to know this sweet girl after she visited and dropped her comment in my blog and met her on few events, she's just too cute and sweet to be friend with! I've known her not for long, and thanks much to social network that we could still keep in touch even though she went to UK to further her studies. She will be here for two weeks time and how could you not make some time for her?

Assam Fish Pasta

Some of us were early and ordered some foods to stuffed our hungry stomach while waiting for the rest to arrive. Eric ordered the Assam Fish Pasta and that's definitely sounds weird to me! It's certainly unlike the ordinary pasta that you have had at other restaurants. I did not give it a try as I can't handle the spiciness but Eric told me that it was quite good and pretty unique in a way. If you're not a fan of Italian food, perhaps this would be something good for you, pasta but in a different way!

Assam Laksa

I opt for the Assam Laksa. I know you would think it's weird to have it at Coffee Chemistry Signature, but I just could not hold myself from missing the delicious Assam Laksa that I have had at Penang. I admit I never fancy any Assam Laksa at KL, not even one! This one is good but... I can't handle the spiciness as well. I love the sourness with a hint of sweetness of the prawn paste, the springy noodle and flavorful sardine broth totally tantalize my taste bud to slurp more and more!

Chowrasta Market @ George Town, Penang

Aloha! How did the New Year treating you guys? As for me, I fell sick and now am down with flu and itchy throat caused a lil bit bad appetite which I hope I will get better soon. Ah well, perhaps this is just the right time for me to update my blog? Speaking of which I have not fully cover things I did, places I went, all the foods I had during my Penang trip with Project Penang. Shall we continue visit this Chowrasta Market virtually now?

Chowrasta Market, George Town

The Chowrasta Market ( Pasar Chowrasta ), being a community markets in inner George Town, provides fresh vegetables, fruits, poultry for the locals. Little did I know that the name Chowrasta comes from Urdu, which means "four cross roads". If you realized, it is bordered by Penang Road, Jalan Chowrasta, Jalan Kuala Kangsar and Lebuh Tamil. The Tamils from Kadayanallur in southern India has settled themselves around Chowrasta Market since the mid of 19th century which also the reason why it was known as " Kelinga Ban San ( South Indian Market ) ". It won't be surprised when you see most of the shops run by Tamils by then.

I am not person who fancy to visit the market, especially wet market! Ask me, I barely remember when is the last time since I visit the market. When Khan Khai brought us walk into the Chowrasta Market, I was like.. Ohno! The attempt not to follow was totally failed after we walked into the first shop simply because I could not resist the food.

Poh Piah ( Spring Roll Skin )

Who would actually bother to enter the shop by looking at its exterior? People said, never ever judge a book by its cover. Upon entering the shop, the owner was gladly to show us all the ingredients were mixed, mix everything sounds easy but it was not an easy task I would said.

The owner just do not mind to show and share how it done perfectly! For an inexperienced people, it's pretty hard to make all in the same round size. And oh! You just gotta be quick and alert with it as they were all in very thin layer! Kudos to the uncle!

I do admit am not really interested with the spring roll skins, and what next attracted me was the homemade Kong Th'ng ( Peanut Barley Candy ). In case you don't know, I love em'! What's interesting here - we're not eating it like that but coated it with the thin layer of spring roll skin. OMGee! It tasted simply yummeh and I don't mind snacking on it anytime! It is only cost you RM 1 for each, what a cheapo!

Poh Piah Sauce ( RM 1.60/box )

There were few types of sauces available too - sweet sauce, black sauce and chili sauce. You could have it with only RM 1.60/box to go along with the spring rolls. I bought few to shared with my group mates and thanks to our group leader for bringing me back to here on the last day to bring back home some!

If you happened to visit here, why not give it a try and trust me it will become an addiction. The crispy peanut barley candies coated with soft thin layer of spring roll skin, something not to be missed. Even the famous foodie Jason ( from Taste With Jason ) visited here before! Oh! While everyone still looking at other stuffs, I went into the next shop selling the nutmeg fruits. I do admit I have never eaten any nutmeg fruits except for dried one. The owner offered me to try all the types of pickled nutmeg fruits which truly enlightened me with the unique taste of it! I am totally have no idea how to describe the taste of it, but it's just either you love it or not, and it's only can be found at Penang!

There were so many stalls set up along the road junctions and you can easily find and buy the groceries from the market. Needless to say, the price could be much cheaper if you're a well bargainer!

Peiling, Bgeok and Yours Truly @ Chowrasta Market

It was still quite early and the moment we entered the Chowrasta Market, some of the shops inside it were still closed. I still remember I was a lil bit terrified when KK actually asked them to demo how they killed those chickens! Geez! I dare not open my eyes to witness the process at all!!

Bookshop?

There's a shop that I would say quite interesting for it selling both new and old books at special rate. It is located at the corner which consist of few lots to keep up all the books. If you were to find some old books, this might a great place for you! I spotted some old textbooks and reference books that were used during my secondary time!

As mentioned earlier, the shop is not just selling old books but also the new books. Besides, the shop also buying both old and new textbooks, which I thought it would be easier for people who don't wish to keep their old textbooks as they could sell it to here instead of throwing it away just like what my mom did most of the time.

KK managed to get an old book for his collection on that day. I somehow wish I could have more time to look into those books and perhaps get some novels back. The Chowrasta Market definitely a place worth to visit and also a place where you can venture more be it things and the culture. Strolling along the heritage shop houses definitely something different and do remember bring your camera along for there's so many things to capture along the way.

Bid goodbye to 2011 and welcome the 2012!

There's so many ups and downs throughout the year of 2011 but am so glad that there's more UPs than DOWNs! I've learned and growing up to be a better person with mature thinking. I am definitely proud of myself for reaching certain milestones in life on the past year. As for this year, I wish for more to come!

Hohoho! Looks what is coming to town? It's the fruitilicious tarts at Karafuru, Tokyo Street in the Pavillion shopping mall. It doesn't matter if you have a sweet tooth or no, the cutesy and colorful tarts definitely something to try in town!

There's various flavors available that you can choose from - Strawberry Chocolate, Mango, Grape, Oreo, Green Tea Red Bean, Raspberry Peach, Chocolate Banana, Blackforest, Blueberry Meringue and Mixed Fruits. It is not just looking attractive and appetizing in look, but also very healthy since there's no preservatives used. Besides, it is all handmade to perfection by the chef from Japan.

This is definitely healthy fruit tarts that can be eaten and enjoyed by all ages for its main ingredient used are fresh fruits, custard/chocolate filling, fresh cream and fruit puree. What's more? There are surprises in the tart which you'll only find out once you've tried the tart yourself! Now, watcha waiting for?! Don't you just want to indulge yourself with this mouth watering fruitilicious tarts?!

So what is the thing I'll do first if I get my hands on an iPhone 4S? I thought about it and these are the few things I would want to do!

1.Subscribe to iDigi plan for iPhone 4S

Who else can I look into if I wanted to purchase a line for my iPhone 4S if not the most affordable one in town! Digi so far had offered the best and cheapest plan around and it's a waste not to sign up with them. Without an internet line, iPhone 4S is useless and so is SIRI which needed an internet connection in order to work. If I would want to enjoy using SIRI and tweet nice looking photos, getting a good service provider would be my priority!

2. Make full use of SIRI

Having SIRI is like a gem! If you can't make full use of it, why own an iPhone 4S? I'll make sure it look up for the some words I don't understand and also the find me places to eat! Thank God for SIRI!

3. Tweet about it! Camwhore!

To enjoy my favorite past time! To camwhore and then share to the world. Superb camera and then it's definitely time to show off!

iPhone 4S? 4 sure for me? I bet many people who know me well that I'm not much of an Apple iPhone fan. And most of you guys would know how much I love my Blackberry. But then, this iPhone 4S is trying very hard to tempt me away from my Blackberry. I admit. I had fallen for its temptation and if you can't win them, join them!

So why iPhone 4S is 4 SURE 4 ME?

1. I love taking pictures and sharing it!

Yes! The camera! iPhone 4S's 8-megapixel is such a beauty that words cannot describe! I had tried using it before and I instantly fell in love with its picture quality! I do not like how some smartphones had very good hardware specs but their camera ends up not good at all and very noisy! I do not like to tweet or put in my Facebook blurry pictures! With the effects applied, it still cannot be as nice as the picture taken with the iPhone 4S! It's like travelling with a small BUT very very good camera. Even the high resolution retina display would make me enjoy my pictures happily! Crispy and crystal clear pictures FTW!

2. Who else but SIRI?

At first I thought SIRI would be quite a useless function. But once I had seen what it can do, it amazes me! It could help me locate places to eat (no need to depend on the 24-hours-bad-tempered-someone) with just a simple command! It can even be a great conversationalist as well! It would definitely keep me entertained when SOMEONE is too busy to talk to me. Hmph! Check this Video out for SIRI!

3. Games and Entertainment!

I love my Blackberry 9900! But the Blackberry had limited amount of fun apps and games for me! Blackberry's Qwerty keypad is definitely NOT meant for games. Apple's App Store contains lots of games that I can download to keep me entertain! The iPhone 4S is definitely a good gaming companion for me with games like Cut The Rope, Angry Birds and my all time favorite SMURF VILLAGE! I can even watch very clear and good videos on it!

So this is why I think iPhone 4S would be 4 SURE for me! It can be there to keep my life from being boring and waiting for Eric after work can no longer be dull anymore! So, is iPhone 4S the phone for sure for you as well?

Why SIRI and Digi will be my BEST COMPANIONS? Read on!

Digi and SIRI would make a perfect companion because it will give me lightning fast response in any yellow zone to whatever inquiries I had given. Imagine asking SIRI, where is a nice place for Bak Kut Teh and without good connection, I will probably starve until I fainted before a reply comes! Digi will always be there to make sure that would not happen! It will ensure SIRI to operate efficiently like it can always be!

It would definitely keep me entertained no matter where I am with SIRI funny response to me!

Saw the video? This is exactly how great SIRI can be in keeping me from being bored! If without a good connection, Probably I will have to wait gazillion years for the replies to come. SIRI cannot work well on its own, it needs DIGI in order to be my perfect companion!

First of all, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! I used to celebrate the festive Christmas with the family and I feel so happy to be home for the celebration! God knows how much I missed the family while am at KL.

All this while, beingtogether with Eric, going through all the ups and downs along our relationship,was pretty challenging and fun! The first day of this month was my birthday andthis year marked a very first time I could celebrate it with Eric. After thesurprise birthday by him and my lovely bunch of dearies, I thought there willbe no more surprise from him, which am wronged!

I’ve been asking him ifhe is bringing me somewhere during my birthday and Heck! He did not even really do the countdown for me as he came to meand wished me happy birthday before the clock stroked 12. I was quitedown in the mood but with the nonstop wishes from twitter, facebook, bbm,whatsapp, email, calls and text messages, totally cheered me for the wholenight! The next morning, when I saw he wore a nice long sleeve shirt, I thoughtoh! There’s a surprise for me and I asked. Again. He then said, “It’s hot,change shirt first”. It just totally depressed me and I went to work with a lilmoody mood.

What brightened my daywas all the wishes from the lovely colleagues especially some were so cheekyenough to come and whispered “Happy Birthday to you” to my ear. At that moment,I was wishing if my boyfie could do so too. The lovely colleagues who closedwith me threw a birthday surprise for me at TGIF and that’s really one of themost memorable birthday ever!

Off work time, Eric cameand fetched me earlier than usual, and being a bit pissed off me for what hehad done in the morning, I purposely made him wait for another 30mins. Hebought my favorite ice cream from Baskin Robbin and told me this is mybirthday cake and telling me that we’re going to eat McDonald to celebrate mybirthday. Oh! How I hate this! In the car, am just notin the mood to have any conversation with him while he kept on asking me what Iwant to eat? I just simply said McNuggets please. He then said “McNugget only?Eat Big Mac larr,birthday worr!” Honestly, that’s REALLY ANNOYED me! I closedmy eyes and pretend sleep for he just ruined my day!

He stopped the car andwoke me up and asked me to go down as we has arrived destination, and it’skinda puzzled me the moment I saw “Ishin”! OMG!! I have been telling him thousands time how much I wanted to dine here and did not know he actually has planned somethingfor me! What a huge surprise!!! Just so you know that Ishin is a Japanese restaurant serving genuine Japanese and Kaiseki style cuisines that are cooked to order. They prepare the meals freshly using ingredient imported from Japan's famous Tsukiji market with the finest ingredients of the season.

The waitress came and brought the ipad for us to view the menu. The menu was extensive and it's pretty hard to make my choice as everything seems so delicious! Of course, we could not afford to order all for the slightly expensive price shown. But, judging from that, we knew everything will be worth and valued for the money.

Sashimi Zen ( RM 48 )

I am sashimi lover! I love sashimi very much especially Salmon Sashimi! The sashimi were all fresh and it feels like heaven after the first bite in my mouth. Plus point, it is slightly thicker in size which really guaranteed the satisfaction of having it!

Sashimi Tempura Zen ( RM 42 )

Sashimi Sushi always my favorite simply because I love sashimi! Dip it with wasabi and it taste as great as it is! The Sashimi Tempura Zen comes with the side dishes like chawan mushi, tempura as well as the miso soup.

Frankly, am not a fan of tempura unless it is good. I simply love the tempura in Ishin for its crispy outside yet succulent prawn inside, it tasted great after dipped it into the sauce.

Unagi Maki ( RM 24 )

I love sushi! Although I have to say am already quite full with the sashimi platters and other side dishes, there's no reason I could missed out this one for it is also one of my favorite! It seems that Eric just know what I love! Unlike my other experience, I could really taste the rich flavor of the grilled eel within the sushi, I always love my sushi to be dipped in the wasabi sauce.

3 Taste Chawan Mushi ( RM 14 )

I was first wondered why Eric need to order another set Chawan Mushi since we already have it and little did I know that there's difference between both! The ala carte Chawan Mushi that he has ordered comes with 3 cute chawan mushi inside the egg shells and inside was not just the plain chawan mushi! Each topped with different toppings which added up some significant flavors to each of it. They were exceptionally good and you would wish for more!

Mango Parfait ( RM 16 )

We ordered the Mango Parfait to be shared and seriously glad that we were sharing this! It is so huge and simply yummy! Don't you just love to have mango chunks with the ice cream? That was such lovely dessert to end our dinner that night.

It's Christmas Eve and if you're still thinking where to celebrate the Christmas, why not give Grand Dorsett a chance to serve you like a king for a night? Since the first time I went there for the themed buffet, I just could not help myself but falling in love with the delicious foods especially the breads at Terazza Brasserie, Grand Dorsett. I was so glad being invited to go over again for the Christmas Buffet!

The moment Eric and I saw the Christmas tree that entirely made of bread, we seriously doubt if it is made of real bread and were surprised with the confirmation from the General Manager, Mr Kuscher! This is definitely something extraordinary compared to other Christmas trees that I have seen before.

The "Santa Claus" greeted us and look at those presents that been placed under the tree, lovely isn't it? Don't be surprised to see those lovely breads decoration upon entering Terazza Brasserie, you could simply amazed by them! After the short briefing by Mr Kuscher, I just can't wait to try each of them as they are so inviting and appetizing, no, you just can't resist it.

One dish that we would not want to miss out for the Christmas - Whole Roasted Turkey! Surprisingly, the roasted turkey meat at here tends to be slightly tender and am not sure how many serving I had for that night. Of course, topped up with some of your preferred sauces, it would taste more wonderful!

On the other side, you could actually see the Beef Wellington with Shallot Glaze Sauce! First glanced at it, I thought this is not my cuppa tea for it coated with pastries and looked slightly dry to me. After Eric tried and telling me how much he love it, I don't mind to give it a try and oh boy! Such a wonderful combination, the meat was perfectly done in medium well, the pinky yet juicy meat, perfect!

I love salads and the first thing I do was check out what are they offered at the Salad Bar. There's plentiful of choices you can choose and trust me, you would definitely wanted to try all of them! If you know Eric, he is not a salad person, he would just say NO to your face even if you just try to offer salad to him. On that night, he had few servings of salads and yes that pretty surprised me which also means, the salads at here were really good and you just have to try it yourself!

I always had problem where to start for the main course for the splendid buffet spread offering so many varieties that you wish to get them all yet you afraid you could not get them. The Seafood Paela Rice tasted something different for the aromatic seafood flavors within it, and it is perfect to go with any dishes you wish for that night. Though I thought it is slightly overcooked for that night.

There's always local fusion in the buffet spread offered by Terazza Brasserie and you know I know that it is definitely can simply fulfilled the locals appetites and cravings. They tasted just as great as how appetizing they are and it goes well with either the steamed rice or seafood paella rice or even the Mongolian Noodle.

For the Mongolian Noodle, you have to request from the chef and he will be delightfully cook for you. Initially, I wondered why they don't just served it as the way how they serve other dishes, later then after I tried the noodle, it is definitely best to eat it right after it cooked! It tasted sooo good that I don't mind to eat it and kept drinking the water for it spiciness!

Vegetable and Prawns Tenpura

There were also tempura section where you can get your tempura craving fixed for the night. I am not really into the tempura but I think after all, dip it with the sauce, it was just great!

Fresh Raw Prawns

As usual, the fresh raw seafoods section always impressed me with the huge ice carvings. Fresh oyster, prawns, crabs, mussels, and etc, you just need to choose your favorite and you're done!

Assam Laksa

After my recent Penang trip, I am just trying harder to find Assam Laksa that could actually fix my cravings at KL. Hence, the moment I see this, the both Wai Mei and I just get ourselves to try this. It was delicious! Although I had to say it is still incomparable with the one that I have had at Penang, it is still one of the best I had at KL. You could actually prepare it the way you want it taste like, if you wants it to be spicy, put more chilli and you get it. How simple it is!

Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion ( The Blue Mansion ) @ George Town, Penang

George Town, being the capital city of Penang, is not just rich with the glorious foods but also completed with the beauty of heritage sites. Just so you know that the inner city of George Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As much as I love the foods in Penang, am also amazed with the heritage site of it. During my recent Penang trip with Project Penang, I had the opportunity to stepped into Cheong Fatt Tze mansion ( also known as The Blue Mansion ) and venture every little corner of the mansion.

Upon reaching Cheong Fatt Tze mansion, we were greeted warmly by a sweet lady named Joanne, who introduced herself as a guide to us, told us what's the do's and don't when you're in the mansion before she start the mansion tour. Photography is not allowed when you're in the house, however, we're given the authority to do it and that's relieved me lots. The moment she started the tour and telling us that the whole mansion occupied a land area of 56,000 square feet, with a built-up area of total 33,000 square feet was built according to Feng Shui, that caught everyone's attention which were keep till the end of the tour.

The Cheong Fatt Tze mansion, is a grand mansion which was built by Cheong Fatt Tze (1840-1916) in a full Chinese architecture. That was the first time I heard his name and later did I know that he was a Chinese of Hakka descent and known locally as Teow Thiaw Siat. If you wonder, he was also one of the richest men in Southeast Asia. It took over a period of seven year (between 1897 - 1904) in order to built the mansion completely. We were informed that this mansion was one of the many houses that belongs to Cheong Fatt Tze and here also the home of his third, sixth and sevent wives and where all eight of his son were raised too.

During the exploration of the mansion, the Chinese-style doors, filigree and latticework placed side-by-side to contemporary louvred windows and stained-glass windows can be easily found in the mansion. I can't help myself but impressed with every little things in the mansion! The floor tiles in the mansion were imported all the way from Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire, England.

As mentioned earlier, the whole mansion was built fully according to the Feng Shui. It was believed that Cheong Fatt Tze would probably have invited a master geomancer to calculate the best time to construct the mansion; the best choice in use of materials; and the layout of water-flow and wind-flow lines which would best suit his zodiac, and most importantly to ensure that the wealth is retained. You would be surprised you could actually take a virtual courtyard tour at HERE!

I myself could not stop admiring the whole artwork of the interior of the mansion which were done in detailed, most importantly it is mostly done by handwork instead of machines. You could even see all the antiques which places in certain rooms in the mansion, most of it, I have never seen before and to have this kind of experience, wonderful! Oh! There's another thing that impressed me - the decoration on the roof and walls which made of tiny pieces of broken pottery called chien nien. My-oh-my! Any of you can tell me who's on earth would do such time consuming work especially in this modern era?!

The restoration work on Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion which took 5 years to complete has been awarded as the "Most Excellent Project" award for cultural heritage conservation by UNESCO Asia Pacific. The Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion has been re-adapted as a boutique hotel, allowed not just local but tourist to stay and experience a pleasant stay in a heritage boutique hotel in George Town.

The room above was actually known as The Old Kitchen and it was such lovely room to stay for I thought. The antique pots, bowls and kettles has been placed as one of the decoration of the room and the bathroom with bench inside it? Just so you know that it was placed so that it's easier for the old people to take their shower. What a thoughtful one.

Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell Rock.... I believe everyone has started counting down for the Christmas, so am I! Not just because it is Christmas but also because am going back to hometown and get to celebrate the holy jolly day with the dearest family! It is less than a week for that! As much as I am exciting to go back, am truly enjoyed what I have had at here, celebrating the Christmas in a different way, together with all the people at here, it was truly blessed. I have never thought I could celebrate the Christmas with Alvin and the Chipmunks!

I was fascinated with the all the balloons that hanged at the table side and with all the bubbles, what a fantasy-like at Cinnamon Coffee House! To be given the opportunity to sample their Christmas Buffet and get to celebrate the early Christmas with the children from House Of Joy, it was truly unexpected and grateful. Like I said before, the more the merrier especially during the joyous celebration like this! The buffet spread on that night was extensive and I know there's no way I could share everything at here.

A whole roasted Turkey was served and I have to admit I only managed to eat Turkey during the Christmas. As we all know that Turkey's meat tend to be dry and tough, however, this is surprisingly good and not dry at all! I get myself few fine sliced roasted turkey topped with cranberry sauce and it turned out as lovely and tender as it is.

On the other side, it was the beef! Perhaps, am not just a beef person, I did not get to try it. Judging from how others complimenting the beef, I know it was great! Just too bad that I did not give it a try. Aside from that, I was totally in love with the Pasta section! What so great about it? The pasta are made upon request which guaranteed the guest to have a piping hot freshly cooked pasta and get to enjoy it as its best.

There were various choices of pastas that you can choose as well as you may request how your pasta to be cooked. While Mei Yee ordered the squid ink pasta, I opted for spiral one! Apart from all those sweetness, here's another favorite part of mine - Chocolate Fountain! There were marsmallows, skewered strawberry, fresh grapes, apricots, prunes and mini brownies as selection for you to go with the chocolatey fountain. That's pretty hard to resist myself from that goodness!

To complete the whole course buffet, a selections of ice creams were served as for the happy ending! Six flavors - chocolate, strawberry, vanilla, green tea, corn, yam and rainbow for you to choose from while you could top your ice cream scoops with various condiments such as chocolate chips, almond flakes, oreo crumbles, croquant, pistachio crushed and mix peel. Look at that, it's easy to get your preferred Christmassy ice cream!

The children from the home hang their wishlist on the 20 ft tall Christmas tree at the hotel lobby and all their wishes has been granted by the staffs.

Glorious Foods at Georgetown, Penang

You may said 4 days 3 nights is enough to venture the "little" Georgetown in Penang, but oh boy! You're totally wrong and better change your mind set about Georgetown. We were each given a map with the listed tourism attractions as guideline for us. Heck! That's a numbers of places to visit and have not includes the foods that we're going to try!

Before we start our exploration of the city, we were all divided into few groups. I was totally glad to be in the group and they're all awesomely cool and cute! Three photographers in the group and the cute lil girl in the group which made our group more happening!

If you know me, you would know how much I hate to walk! When we were told we have to visit around by just walking, I was totally shocked and speechless. Again, if you know me, am not a person who give up easily. Challenge accepted and let me share some foods that I have had around Georgetown.

#01 - 小巷粿条汤 ( Koay Teow Soup ) at Argyll Road - RM 3

I was pretty surprised to see many food stalls does not has proper stalls of their own and basically those food stalls located at those alleys around the town. Each and every stalls were so packed and we were lucky to have a small table just fit for us. The Koay Teow Soup - the flat rice noodle which served in a clear soup broth, accompanied by fresh meatballs, fishballs and some greens. It was such a simple yet filling breakfast to have with in the morning before we continue our mission to conquer the Georgetown city.

Guess it is one of the not-to-be-missed-out when you're at Georgetown for it refreshing and cooling Chendul! Priced at RM 1.90, you can easily get it at Penang Road and I bet you're could instantly falling in love with it! What I have to is, it is always can be your choice especially during the hot sunny day!

Craving for some light meal during the tea time? Upon entering Toh Soon Cafe, we were kinda worried if there's no table for us and we're just lucky again! The glaring sun just being too kind with us and allow us to take our tea break at Toh Soon Cafe to have the great combination of fluffy toast bread and cuppa nice coffee. Unlike other places, the toast bread prepared in a traditional way whereby the worker uses the heat of charcoal! It was in such a wonderful finish of golden brown charred on the bread.

#04 - Char Koay Teow at Sri Weld Food Court, Lebuh Pantai

A must-have in Penang, none other than the Char Koay Teow! If you ask me, you can actually easily get delicious Char Koay Teow in Penang! I definitely enjoy the savor the delicious stir fried flat rice noodles! I always love to see my Char Koay Teow comes with generous amount of crunchy bean sprouts, deshelled cockles, succulent prawns, eggs and not to forget the hint of belacan taste. At that time, I just can't help but taking my sweet time to eat it.

#05 - Assam Laksa at Joo Hooi Coffee Shop, Penang Road - RM 3

For someone who originally from the East Malaysia, I would never expect the Assam Laksa that am going to have at West Malaysia is totally something different! Laksa, is never my favorite of foods for I can't handle the spiciness. Kudos to Joo Hooi Coffee Shop for changing my mind set! The bowl of Laksa was sooo fragrant and it's hard to resist from trying it! We mixed the prawn paste into the noodles and O-M-G! It was so delicious that am totally in love with it! The Laksa tasted so great and sourish which is just nice to my liking, needless to say that the springy noodles and the fresh minced fish meat blended so well with the sour-spicy gravy. To stop getting myself salivate by looking at this, I guess I just need to drag myself to go there again and to fix my Assam Laksa fixed!

Joyful Christmas Celebration with Agathians Shelter at Prince Hotel

As a Christian myself, Christmas is always the most awaiting celebration to me. December, the month that I love the most not only for my birthday but as well as the Christmas! The other reason that I love Christmas as it always bring the joy to everyone, doesn't matter where you at. I was totally feel delightful for given the opportunity to join the early Christmas celebration at Prince Hotel together with the 40 children from the Agathians Shelter Home.

The Agathians Shelter is an orphanage for boys that was founded in 2003 by a team of young adults with the aimed of save a group of children from being turned out to the street and to provide a home for them. All the boys are from various backgrounds - orphaned, only have single parent who can't afford to feed them, abandoned or neglected. To bring the joy for this children, I am more than happy and gladly to have the moment with them.

The Christmas celebration took place at Eccucino (lobby level) and looking at the buffet spread, you know that's going to be a jolly Christmas especially for the children. Everything were colorful and there were lil gift given to the guest on that day too. The foods served on that day were dainty and scrumptious too!

Simple delicate breakfast such as toasts and banana cake which comes with coffees/teas and orange juice will be served to the guest every morning. Most of the times, we would just have a cuppa and start on our foodie venture, simply because it's just a food heaven at Penang sweethearts! Each places easily connected with each other and it such an ease to go around for the strategic centralized location of Hutton Lodge.

I am totally do not mind that I have to share a room with others as after all we will not be in the lodge during the day time. Though I have to say that I am not quite comfortable with the sharing bathroom, it kind of freaked me out when I come out from the shower and saw a guy wearing a towel outside there washing face or brushing teeth. That's just way too awkward to me but well, there's always a first time. And perhaps, it is a better thought of providing at least one hair dryer as the girls and I had a hard time to dry our wet hair especially during the night.

Project Penang definitely wouldn't be a success without the two men who has passion in aiming to introduce the bustling Georgetown to the world! It's definitely not an easy task, I do believe in hard effort always will get paid off in the end if there's deep passion involve in the process. It's just pretty impressive! Christmas Eve Dinner @ Sanook, Kelana Jaya

The jingle bells starts ringing and am definitely in the Christmas mood already right after my birthday! This time round, I get the opportunity to join the rest to sample the Christmas Eve Dinner menu at Sanook. I always fancy to dine by the lake for not just it romance ambiance but also for it rather chilly.

A virgin stepped into this place, I know we're just going to enjoy the good food while chilling around. We started with the wine of the month, Bolzano Tempranillo which I found it tasted just nice and it's mild compared to what I have tried before this. I guess I just found something suit me and it is definitely will go well with my main course later on!

Talking about Christmas, there will always be turkey! I always had roasted turkey for the Christmas and Sanook will not letting you missed the roast turkey for your celebration too! Sanook presented the well roasted turkey which stuffed with polenta, fresh pineapple and dates and served with mix Italian herbs sauce. It is also accompanied by baby carrots, grapes, brussels sprouts, snow peas and creamy pineapple chutney.

We begin our meal with the appetizer, Italiano Pan-fried Scallop with Breaded Honey Tiger Prawn. With a firm and tender texture, the pan-fried scallop tasted sweet in natural, it is just delicious to have one. On the other side, the breaded honey tiger prawn win my heart with it succulent texture and needless to say how great it goes with the sweet sauce.

The second course presented on our table was the Fresh Black Mussel Soup Mediterranean style. It doesn't look like an ordinary soup and most of us seems quite surprise with it is called soup. For the portion-wise, you could be very wrong if you think it is small in portion as the soup tasted so rich in flavors and it's definitely tantalize your taste buds! Not to mention the great combination of the soup with the bread and fresh mussels in the soup, it is so heavenly!

Grilled Rib-steak ala Americano

Moving to the main course, you can choose either salmon or steak. I opt for steak while Eric opt for the salmon. I am definitely not a meaty person, but I do know to enjoy the good steak! It was the Grilled Rib-steak ala Americano that I had for my main course. Of course, you could choose to how raw or well cooked is your steak to be and I prefer it to be cooked in a medium well. The surface of the steak is all well charred on the top and bottom and topped with the mushroom sauce, with a hint of pink in the middle of the steak, the juiciness of the meat, it was so well done! Do I need to mention how well it goes along with the red wine?

On the other hand, I always love and enjoy eating the salmon. I also had the chance to try their Pan-Fried Salmon with Tempura Baby Crab as that's what Eric chose for his main course. I could not deny on such huge portion of the salmon, it was quite thick that some found it hard to finish it. I bet everyone loves the baby crab for it crispy yet soft in the inside!

After we finished with the main course, we were all served with thin slices of roasted turkey coupled with the sides. It feels like we celebrating the Christmas much earlier! Though I have to admit that am not keen into the slightly dry meat of the Turkey, but I guess that's why roasted turkey always perfect to accompanied by the pineapple chutney or perhaps the cranberry sauce, and that's definitely my all time favorite!

To conclude the 5 course dinner, each of us getting the Sweet Creamy Honey Pineapple Studel in Wantan Skin for the dessert. It is certainly something one of a kind I would say and also something that I have never tried before. It was rather a weird combination of various fruits such as blueberries, kiwi and pineapple on the thin layered of wantan skin, topped with ice cream, lovely!

It is only RM 133+ per pax with a complimentary bottle of Bolzano Tempranillo red wine to be shared by 2 persons. You could enjoy 15% discount if you book before the 15th December! Being in love and loved are both totally different things and I will always be grateful for I have the both of it. To have friends that is really appreciate you and accepting you as how you are are those who you can keep for life. Since the first I know them, we all know that the friendship that we have are extraordinary as we get to know each other all from the internet, be it twitterville or blogosphere.

On the Sunday, when boyfie told me I will need to accompany him to attend his work-related event on the Monday, I was so reluctant and kept trying to decline him nicely. When the Monday came, he asked me to get ready and wear something nice for the event, I was not even in the mood to dress up. How can I don't even realized it was a trick when he do not allow me to touch his phone whenever there is a whatsapp message notifications?! I am so dumb that I do not even alert when Merryn tweeted and hinted me!

There you go, I was not in a mood to dress myself up and just put on a simple red dress and we left home. The moment we arrived Mezze, I don't feel nothing but somehow a lil bit uneasy at time. Moreover, I just trying to bear with the smokes., if only we could get a table at non smoking area. *sigh* I was told to wait and no idea what to do sitting alone at there. Guess what? Few minutes later, Eric appeared together with Foong, Mei Yee and Lionel. That just left me is such huge confusion and what I asked was, where is your colleagues? What's with the annual dinner event? Why everyone at here? Mei Yee came and say hello and they were all just laughing! And Grey came later! Geez!! It's a birthday surprise celebration for the both Foong and I! All of us been hearing lots about the good food at Mezze and this is definitely the time for us to try. We ordered and quite disappointed that there's no Lamb Pilaf Pie for us to try. But hey, let's see what we had for the night.

I love pasta and bacon! The birthday boy, Foong is so clever for being safe and chose the Olio Bacon for us to share. I always love my pasta to be al dente and this Olio Bacon just simply fixed my craving for pasta. Perhaps, am not keen into peppery or spicy, I found it a lil to peppery to my liking, despite of that, I just love to have another serving of this.

Been hearing people bragging about the Spaghetti Carbonara at here, I guess it is definitely a must try at here. It was pretty unique in serving as there is raw egg yolk in the half egg shell on the top of the pasta. We pour the whole egg yolk and mixed into the pasta, oh boy, that's might a lil too creamy to my liking. The pasta became rather creamy and tasted a lil bit bland to me, but well, our bad for pouring all of the egg yolk I guess.

Mei Yee ordered the Funghi Au Truffle and this is definitely another new thing I have seen. The pizza doesn't look appetizing from the look but a bite of it, you know what I mean! It's just simply delicious! For the first time, I prefer something green on my pizza!

Another pizza that we had on that night was the Salmon Pizza. By looking at it, there were sufficient amount of salmon slices on top of the pizza with some greens. Oh boy, perhaps this is one of the best pizzas I have ever had? I enjoyed myself max eating the thin crust pizza with the slice of fresh raw salmons and greens, wish I could have more of this.

The star dish for the night - Chargrilled Spatchcock Chicken - what you would expect from the spring chicken by looking at it rather small in size? Well, we were all so wronged! It tasted exceptionally good and you can definitely get to enjoy the juiceful tender chicken meat in every single bites. I believe each of us would love to have this alone! :P

The both Foong and I would love to order dessert, but being the clever us, we knew there will be a birthday cake for us! Bingo! Cherry Cheesecake for us to celebrate the night. It was the Cherry Cheesecake which bought from PJ Hilton. Don't fooled by the small size of the cake as it is pretty filling.

Have you guys actually heard of the Who's That Girl Search which organized by Clinique? That's my first time heard of it too! I've joined the girls dropped by and had our makeover for the night. How many of you actually have seen me without the makeup on? I seldom put on makeup for am lazy and am just not good at it. Sorry that I have to put up my horror ugly picture at here!

Can you see how tired I looked like? The beauty consultant too realize my exhausted face and refreshed my face's skin with the scrub and cleanser, love part was when she massage my eyes part with the soothing eye gel. After done with the face cleanse, I was given four choices of looks to choose for the makeover. There are Fashionably Flirty, Laid Back Deluxe, Classic Chic and Downtown Cool, so which one do you think I am?

I chose the Classic Chic look! Anyone surprise with it? What I did next was just stay sit and let the makeup artist do her magic on my bare face. The nicest part of all is my eyes! She seem enjoyed curling my eyelashes for it's long? I knew my eyelashes are quite long but I never knew it can be curled till that way! I am so in love with my eyelashes later then. *Silly me!*

During my recent company trip, I admit that I do not think there is something that I should looking forward to. It turned me down when the both of them could not make it and seriously makes me feel so bad. Yet, am still go for it. The moment we get to know PC & QA will be combined as a team, having the both crazy cheerful people in the group definitely turned my mood on! We only have one night time to do the rehearse for the talent show and we even sacrificed our sleeping time and luckily managed to get couples hours to ~~sleep~~ nap before start our journey to A Famosa Resort, Melaka.

We came for a purpose - Team Building. After stuffed our hungry tummy with the lunch buffet prepared at Golfer's Terrace, we proceeded to the Crimson River for our first part of the team building. We were all divided into a group and just so you know that the team I was in named Fabulous! We are just simply fabulous aye! But, are we fabulous enough to build our own raft with just few pieces of bamboos and tyre!?

Seriously, we were all clueless in building up a sturdy and safe to be floated on the lake water raft. It was sooo hard! I swear that is going to be my first and last to go through the process. Am not denying the fact that I had fun building it with the team members but heck! It requires lots energy! Ohyes, it is not just about building the raft. We had to make sure it can float and must ensure it can take up to 4 pax at time! There you go, you had to compete with other teams in order to win the race. It seems like so easy to maneuver the raft, I am so wrong! It's hard and we're so worry that if the raft going to turn upside down. The moment everyone reached the end, we're so dead tired. Am proud tho!

The Magical Musical had been really amazing for me and it marked the first ever musical I have ever been to. Being a musical freak myself, I have told you I am so not going to miss the coming Aladdin The Musical which will be held at the Ampitheatre, Sunway Lagoon on this coming 25th November (Friday). I jumped happily when I was given the opportunity to meet the casts of this Aladdin The Musical as I have never even expect I am going to meet them in person! It just like a dream come true for me.

I have never experienced such thing for musical before and that's the reason am looking forward for this musical too! Don't you just wanna join the magic carpet ride too? In 2007, I started a blog to write about something personal, treating it as my online diary. At that time, I do not really know that how and what actually it can brings and lead me to. Till I started another new blog on the Dec at year of 2009 and getting to know Panda Foong! I get to know many of you through him and on, nothing but surprise me with all the happening event posts that I have read from many of your blogs. Something that I envied about seeing all the event being held for bloggers in KL. Staying at KK, my life is pretty dull you may say? Perhaps it is due it was related more on families, works, friends, nothing much.

After made the decision of seeking some challenge in life and trying to learn how to be independent by moving to KL, life hasn't been the same. What I am glad is, those friends that I have known through blogosphere, they were just as great as they are, bringing me to various events and getting to know more and more people, definitely warmed my heart. Who even would know that bloggers can be so close although haven't met before? Getting those invites doesn't means anything to me, but the experiences that I have gone through that matter most to me.

Come from the Land Below The Wind, Sabah! :p

Firstly, being a Nuffnangers all the while, I only get to know some Nuffnangers and that only after I moved to KL. There's not much event at KK and I definitely trying hard to get an opportunity to get myself to attend this grand event exclusively from Nuffnang.When I was still in KK which is Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, I rarely get to meet any bloggers at all. I envied KL bloggers who attend events after events and each of them blogged about those events happily making me even more jealous.

And Nuffnang rarely had any events at KK when I'm still there. Moving here, I get to go to Nuffnang movie screenings and recently the Chatime meetup with Nuffnangers and Churpers! I always wish to make friends and go out for some outing with these bloggers. Coming to KL had been good, but I still did not attend enough Nuffnang events and I hope this would be the beginning of a long happy journey with Nuffnang for me.

Secondly, being a blogger myself, it would also going to be a remarkable experience to join the biggest award event for bloggers! Who would have know that bloggers will get a token of appreciation too for their hard effort in blogging? I am definitely looking forward to see the winners and to heard some words from the winners! Blogging had been fun for me but there are a lot of things I still did not know about blogging. There are so much to learn from so many bloggers! Hopefully by learning from them, I can one day go on stage for to receive a Nuffnang award for myself. Not only that. This Nuffnang Asia Awards would be the one and only event that are dedicated to bloggers! As a blogger, I would always want to be a part of the awesome Nuffnang bloggers community!

It comes with a very simple and user friendly interface where you could actually easily browse everything on the website itself. If you're looking for property, be it buying it or just want to rent it, you could just simply click the "Classidieds" tab and choose either Properties for Sale or Properties for Rent as stated in the column 1 at below picture. There's also a space where you could type in your search and the price range for the property you're looking for at the column 2 stated in the picture below. I have sweet tooth! Not that something to be shamed of, but am proudly to be! I love dessert very much! Be it cold or hot, I just love them much! Of course, been eating lotsa types of dessert caused me being so particular in everything. I always set high expectation on every desserts I am going to have for you know, we just wants the best to reach our satisfaction.

The bunch of us gathered and chilling out at JustBerrys to try some of their desserts on the last Saturday. Yes we need something cooling especially during the hot sunny days. JustBerrys might not located in such strategic location where everybody get to spot it easily for it located at deep inside at Asian Avenue, Sunway Pyramid. Well, no worries just spot Ah Cheng Laksa and it is just next to it.

We get to know that this dessert house is actually a franchise of Pinkberrys which located at Melaka itself. How exciting is that they are actually bringing the sinful durianlicious dessert to us at here! We get our table and sat and couldn't wait to see what going to be served to us. It was kind of excitement when you can actually smell the durian even it is not out yet! Shall we look into what we actually had on that day?

Milky Durian Freeze ( RM 10.50 )

First looking at it, I thought that was chunks of cheesecakes on top of it and thought that was the durian ice cream too! No, all wrong! That was butter cakes and vanilla ice cream on it. What a weird combination aye! I took a spoon of it and gosh! What a heavenly taste of it?! They putting vanilla ice cream as they do not want the authentic taste of durian being spoiled by the artificial taste of durian ice cream. The fresh durian flesh with it bittersweet taste was the D24 durian. If you're a durian lover, you're just gonna love this Milky Durian Freeze as much as I do.

Mango Loh ( RM 6.50 )

There's something special for this Mango Loh. Mango is definitely one of my favorites fruit of all! The finely shaved ice topped with mango syrup and mango fruits chunks. What's so special with it? There were another two layer of mango syrup and fruits underneath the shaved ice. Now you tell me if this is not good!

Pandan Cendol ( RM 4.50 )

Cendol is one of the best thing to eat during the hot sunny day. I always want my cendol to be as good as it is and we all know that the most crucial ingredient for cendol is the gula melaka. The Pandan Cendol might look like an ordinary cendol but there's a hint of pandan flavor and you would know how special it is after you tried it. By one sip of this, Eric could taste the authentic taste of pure gula melaka and after get double confirmation from the owner, YES! Everything is originally from Melaka except for the red beans and cendol and of course the shaved ice.

Durian Cendol ( RM 6.50 )

Sorry for being biased, but I am much prefer the Durian Cendol compare to the Pandan Cendol. I just couldn't resist the fresh durian flesh on it. Although I have to say that the strong durian taste covered the taste of the cendol. It still won my heart.

Longan Sea Coconut ( RM 7 )

If you do not fancy any shaved ice series desserts, Longan Sea Coconut will be good for you. Unlike other dessert house, Justberrys uses herbal jelly ( guilin gao ) instead of grass jelly (cincau ) for their dessert. It is much healthier in a way I believe. I would say this one is quite refreshing to have at anytime.

Sweetie Strawberry ( RM 7 )

Justberrys not just serving desserts but drinks too! Their drinks are all quite filling and I have to admit I am quite full after had one. My love for the day was the Sweetie Strawberry ! It consist of fresh strawberries and underneath was the egg pudding. I have never had something like this but this drink is something that you must have especially for strawberries lover like me! Trust me, you're so not gonna stop slurping it!

Snowy GoldenMango ( RM 7 )

Next was the Snowy GoldenMango. Fresh mangoes cubes blended so well with the taste of the herbal jelly. If you might worry the bitterness of the herbal jelly, fret not, thanks to the strong fresh mango flavor, it covered the bitterness so you can enjoy the drink as you like!

Cocomango ( RM 5.50 )

Cocomango tasted as great as others for it fresh mangoes and with the thick layer of egg pudding underneath it. Am I bloated with those mango drinks? No, am not! See, how addictive the drinks can be!

Mango Sunnymelon ( RM 6.50 )

I personally found the Mango Sunnymelon is cute with the five watermelon balls on top of it! Could you not enjoy slurping the drink while having the small watermelon balls?

All the ingredients used at Justberrys always fresh and that's their selling point I bet. They are definitely have sufficient durian supply all year round for they have own durian orchard at Melaka and we know that there's two durian season throughout the year. Just so you know that they frozen up all the durian flesh and now how to resist the freshness of the durian flesh?! The fresh strawberries are coming all the way from Cameron Highland. It might pricey just to enjoy the dessert but it WORTH IT! Satisfaction is guaranteed.

Who would have thought there's such reasonable price where you can get ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT steamboat buffet outside there? Talking about all-you-can-eat, you know you could expect for extensive buffet spread lies on for you to try each of them, and it's just the matter of how much you can take them!

I wondered why the restaurant was named Umami, later then I know that the word "Umami" is popularly referred to as savoriness, which is one of the basic tastes together with sweet, sour, bitter and salty. It is also a loanword from the Japanese Umami with the meaning of pleasant savoury taste. Hence, I guess that explained the name of the restaurant.

Don't be surprised with the huge crowd upon entering the restaurant. You can see everyone is enjoying their steamboat session be it with the family or friends. I personally feels comfortable with the air conditioned in the restaurant. Walking over the food counters, I was kind of in doubt that I could try all of the foods!

There were an array of cooked foods where you can actually get the fried rice, stir-fried vegetables, sweet and sour chicken, and so on. We had the fried rice and surprisingly the fried rice is better than I expected.

There were also some dried soybean sheets, fishballs, wantan, crab sticks, and etc for you to cook into the hot pot of your choices of soups. Don't worry as everything goes well with the soup and it going to taste as better as expected!

Tuaran Mee, I guess there's no way I can get it at KL. But Asam Laksa? Yes, I can get it everywhere, just the matter of authentic or not? It was such a good day where the bunch of us get together and trying out something authentic and original.

By the name of Heritage Village, it is already shown something to be expected. Am not sure but whatever that named ended with the word "Village", am sure there's something authentic! Just like Paragon Thai Village at Cheras, the Thai foods are really authentic! Right, let's back to the topic. Aman Suria, not really a place that Eric and I would go for foods but after the visit to Heritage Village, we might just change our mind. Reason simply for the delicious foods at there!

With its modern kopitiam style decor and air conditioned place, it just gives the guests to enjoy their meals in a cozy and comfy ambiance. I guess the weather just being too nice which trying to suit our taste buds! Why? It was such glaring hot sun the moment we arrived there and I was so glad being serve the cold durian cendol and ABC!

Heritage Durian Cendol ( RM 7.90 )

I am a durian lover and being particular in durian taste is definitely a must for me. You know I know that durian fruit is seasonal, so do the Heritage Durian Cendol. I was told by the owner that well actually durian can be get at anytime and it's just the matter of the cost. Well after all, it's one of their signature! The strong taste of the durian cendol just took my heart away!

Eric had the Heritage Durian ABC with Ice Cream! It comes with a spoon of durian flesh and a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Not just that, look at the generous amount of the toppings! My-oh-my! Don't you just love to have it during the hot sunny day? However, just like what I have said earlier, the weather is being nice! It was getting cloudy and soon it rained heavily!

Chicken Lor Bak Platter ( RM 8.90 )

We started with the appetizer named Chicken Lor Bak Platter which comes with two deep fried long roll of well marinated chicken meat in thin soybean sheets, dried tofu and century eggs. They were just simply delicious to have for! I enjoyed eating it very much especially after dipped it into the sauce served.

Har Mee ( RM 6.90 )

I am not a spicy lover however, I don't mind go adventurous in foods! While Eric was worrying, I slurped the Har Mee and yes it is spicy to me. Hearing others nonstop praising it, I know it is just tasted as great as it is.

Heritage Assam Laksa ( RM 6.90 )

The Heritage Assam Laksa is one of the must-have when you happened to visit this cafe. Obviously, it's totally different the assam laksa I have had at KK, but I do love the springy noodles and sourness is just at the right taste.

Heritage Duck Egg Char Koay Teow ( RM 9.90 )

Frankly, I have never really treasure what so special of Penang Char Koay Teow for I thought it is just like the ordinary char koay teow! Again, I was proved wrong after had this Heritage Duck Egg Char Koay Teow. It is simply special and yummeh!

Nyonya Acar Fish

When we were served with this Nyonya Acar Fish, I have no idea how to eat it correctly as it is pickled fish. We all know that there's no way we going to eat it plainly but heck! Once the Nasi Lemak arrived, eating it with bit by bit accompanied with the rice is sooooo heavenly appetizing and GOOD!

Chicken Rendang

The huge in portion of Chicken Rendang served on our table and what is not love when you can eat it with the Nasi Lemak? The tender chicken meat blended so well with the gravy and it is just great to have ir during the rainy day.

Everyone love Nasi Lemak, don't you agree with me? Even those oversea people love to have it, why not us as the local? We can have it for breakfast or even for the lunch! What else? Nasi Lemak can be eaten with almost anything, be it chicken rendang, acar fish, ayam goreng, or even the assam prawn!

Another simple dish presented to us nicely was the Ayam Goreng Berempah. The art of deep fried the chicken yet leaving it crispy of the outside and tender chicken meat inside it just worth to love it. I am not sure what kind of spices marinated this chicken but it is great in taste.

Nyona Assam Prawns

I have never fancy the taste of tamarind (Asam Jawa) but eating this Nyonya Assam Prawns just tackled my taste buds and left me speechless and eating it over and over again. It might be because of I love the sourish foods? I even enjoyed sucking the thick and sourish gravy on the prawn without mind whoever looking at me! *Oops*

Jiu Hu Char

Next comes was the Jiu Hu Char. I really had no idea what is that till Isaac told us that was kind of stir fried vegetable with cuttle fish. I hardly seen the cuttle fish and only know that the cuttle fish is in a very tiny form yet you could taste it! I also learned something new which is the art of eating the Jiu Hu Char by wrapping it with the lettuce, simply interesting!

Pong Tay Chicken

Here's another infamous Nyonya dish presented to us, the Pong Tay Chicken. To me, it's sort of like a home cooked food for me. Just so you know that it is basically a soy bean paste dish with just simple ingredient. I love to have this with hot steam rice for sure.

Otak-otak ( RM 5.50 )

Are u a fan of Otak-otak? I admit am not. But looking at the huge portion of this! It was freshly served to us and gosh! they eating it like nobody's business.

Otak-otak Fried Rice ( RM 7.90 )

If you love otak-otak, this Otak-otak Fried Rice would be your favorite! It is quite filling meal I would say. Worth for your penny?? Definitely yes!

Chee Cheong Fun ( RM 4.50 )

Since ever I came to KL, there's various type of chee cheong fun I have tried. The Chee Cheong Fun at Heritage Village seems to be different with it's prawn paste.
