Breast Cancer Awareness with Scholl Malaysia!

Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi is going pink for a good cause!

With every pink limited edition Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi sold from 1st October 2015 to 15th November 2015, Scholl Malaysia will donate RM10 to Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA). As an effort to extend the publicity on Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October this year, the limited edition electronic foot file can be purchased in all Guardian stores from October onwards.

Founded in 1986, BCWA was the brainchild of medical specialists who recognised the need for peer support for women with breast cancer. Its objectives include providing emotional, social and material support for the patients, as well as strengthening their capacity to manage day-to-day living during and after treatment. Beyond helping the patients, BCWA also strives to educate the public on health issues, including guidance for early detection of breast cancer.

This is the first time that Scholl Malaysia is supporting breast cancer awareness activities, and we are thrilled to be contributing to such a worthy cause. Going through breast cancer treatment can be one of the most harrowing and difficult experience in a woman’s life. As a company that is committed to care for and protect the wellbeing of women, Scholl Malaysia wishes to do its part in helping women battle the disease and regain their health and confidence through our pledged donation to BCWA and awareness efforts,” says Omer Shafiq, General Manager of Reckitt Benckiser Malaysia and Singapore.

He adds that the Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi, which is one of the brand’s most popular products, would be perfect to rope women consumers in on such a meaningful cause. The pink hue of the limited edition foot file, which is in line with the official colour of the breast cancer awareness movement is aimed at attracting women’s interest and bringing their attention towards breast cancer.

The Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi is the brand’s latest innovation to keep hard skin at bay. As an average person spends at least two to four hours a day on their feet, taking between 8,000 and 10,000 steps, hard skin and calluses may form easily. With the Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi, professional removal of these unsightly problems can now be done effortlessly at home!

The roller surface on the electronic foot file is furnished with micro-granulates that gently buffs and removes dry hard skin effortlessly.Within a single use, one can achieve results similar or even better than professional foot spa sessions. The device is simple and safe to use. It functions without any sharp blades, and is furnished with a safety stop that halts the filing as soon as too much pressure is applied on the skin. You can read my full review of this device at HERE.

Other features of the Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi include an ergonomically-shaped soft touch handle, a MicraluminaTM roller head that can be easily removed to wash or replace, as well as gentle and effective rotating action. It is also battery-operated and can be easily slipped into any handbag or travelling suitcase, ensuring beautiful feet anytime, anywhere.

To lend your support for breast cancer welfare while giving your feet the pampering they deserve, visit Guardian stores to purchase the limited edition Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi in pink (RM135.20 each) from 1st October 2015 onwards. The roller head refill packs, which contain two replacement roller heads, are sold separately at the retail price of RM52.30. Each roller head can be used for up to 12 treatments on both feet.
